A: If a Space Sentinel is in play the Strafing Gunship must attack a Sentinel unit, but that unit can be a Ground based Sentinel. If the only Sentinel in play is a Ground Unit, the Strafing Gunship may attack any unit (or the base) it chooses.

If there is a Sentinel in space opposite the Strafing Gunship, the Gunship has to attack a Sentinel (in either arena). If there is only a Sentinel on the ground (not in space), the Gunship can ignore it and attack whoever it wants

The Quick-Start rules were not written to account for a weird rare from booster packs 😄 If your opponent has a Sentinel in space and on the ground, your Strafing Gunship can attack either one.
